Our packages are per-person, based on 24-hour periods. Typical lodge departure times are 8:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m., but alternate departure times can be arranged. Prices include air transportation to and from Within the Wild destinations, lodging, meals, individual guide service, and use of lodge equipment.
Extended day (An example of an extended day is from after breakfast to p.m. departure, usually about an 8-hour extension to a package). $700.00 per person. Children 12 years old and under are 2/3 the adult rate.

Winterlake Lodge Hiking Excursion
2 days/2 nights
Explore the high country of the eastern side of the Alaska Range. Fly into Winterlake Lodge and enjoy an exhilarating hike along the Iditarod Trail. Canoe around the lake and look for blueberries or try your luck at gold panning near Red Lake. In the afternoon, take off on the Wolverine trail to your camp-out where you will sleep under the Alaskan stars.
The second night is spent at Winterlake Lodge in one of our hand-hewn log cabins; the comforts of world-class cuisine, quiet serenity, and Alaskan backcountry beauty is at it’s best at Winterlake Lodge! (2-person minimum).
Happy River Float Trip
3 days/3 nights
Float trip down the Happy River. See wildlife and a rarely floated jewel of a river west of the lodge. (2-person minimum).
Flightsee the Triumvirate
2 hours
Take a close look at the neighborhood. View Mt. Gerdine, Mt. Spurr (sight of our last volcano eruption) and Mt. Torbert, as you fly along the Triumvirate Glacier. Land on a glacier-fed lake for a picnic snack. This is an incredible experience. (2-person minimum).
Flightsee McKinley
2.5 hours
Fly to Mt. McKinley from the lodge and see this spectacular mountain from a climber’s perspective. McKinley (also called Denali) is the highest peak in North America. (2-person minimum).
Helicopter Day Rate
This option is for guests interested in helicopter hiking, glacier trekking in the nearby Tordrillo Mountains, or fishing in hard-to-access areas surrounding the lodge.

A stay at the lodge includes the following:
- Transportation to and from the lodge, via water taxi from Homer.
- All meals prepared by our award-winning culinary team.
- Daily guided adventure activities including: sea kayaking, local sportfishing from the dock, beachcombing and tidal-pool exploration, coastal touring by boat, nature trail hiking through old growth forests, hiking in the Kachemak Bay State Park Trail System, mountain biking in Seldovia, birding, and wildlife viewing.
- Lodge-based activities include use of sauna and hot tub on the deck, morning yoga classes, one complimentary massage, cooking classes, wine tasting, and other daily scheduled activities.
Children 12 years old and under are 2/3 the adult rate.

We can arrange transportation to and from Homer from other Alaska destinations such as Anchorage or Seward.
Flightsee the Kachemak Bay Area – Charter a local air taxi to view Kachemak Bay from the air. This is a spectacular way to see the Bay and beyond.

Deep-sea fishing for halibut or salmon – We charter out with a local deep-sea charter company to take you out deep in the ocean beyond Kachemak Bay for large pools of fish.

Bear viewing at Redoubt Bay or Katmai – We can arrange either a day trip to Redoubt Bay for bear-viewing or a charter flight to Katmai (this option involves walking along a beach or rocky area) for the day.
