Winterlake Lodge is located one hour northwest of Anchorage by small plane. The lodge serves as the Finger Lake Checkpoint on the Iditarod Trail along the edge of the Alaska Range. Tutka Bay Lodge sits along the Kachemak Bay south of Anchorage. The lodge is accessible by boat from the small village of Homer or by float-plane directly from Anchorage.
